Your Mission Matters. But So Does Your Life - MM 250

Your mission matters deeply. And so does your life.
Entrepreneurship is delayed gratification by design: you’re planting seeds now that may not bloom for months (sometimes years). So yes, keep showing up and doing the work… but don’t build a business you need to recover from. \
Create pockets of time to live, rest, laugh, and be with the people you love, because joy isn’t a distraction; it’s fuel.
One thing I've learned about building a business is that you are constantly planting seeds and you have to trust the harvest that's coming because as entrepreneurs, we work hard to create something we believe in, and a lot of that work is happening now to create results that will show up later. That's delayed gratification. Honestly, it's one of the most important skills you can have as an entrepreneur. The ability to do the work today, even when the payoff might not come for months, sometimes even years. But here is the part I wanna normalize today. Even when you love what you do, it's still normal to feel discouraged sometimes, or tired, or to have a day where you think, is this even working? Your mission can pull you forward. And you can still be human. So today I have a reminder for you. Don't build a business you need to recover from, or wait until all the stories align and all the results are achieved before you can enjoy life. Create pockets of time throughout your week and throughout your year when you are not producing, selling, or optimizing, you are just living spending time with your family. Getting outside, traveling, resting, laughing, doing the things that fill your cup in ways that have nothing to do with your business because life is short and impact and joy are not opposites. They belong together. Joy isn't a distraction. It's fuel. It reenergizes you so you can keep showing up, keep leading and keep growing. So as spring and summer are coming, let this be your permission slip. Keep planting the seeds and enjoy the life you are building your business for. Happy Monday.
